The AFS Academy is a cross-disciplinary training event that spans over two weeks and provides AFSers (board members, staff and volunteers) and friends (representatives of like-minded organizations, academics, teachers, local educators) with learning and networking opportunities in a campus like setting.

Participants of the AFS Academy create their own schedules choosing from a variety of training courses, keynote speeches by experts, panels, roundtable discussions, social events and cultural activities.

The first three AFS Academies took place in Istanbul (2012), Florence (2013) and Budapest (2016) and provided more than 500 participants with endless opportunities to connect/learn/share/grow/inspire/ask/think/create to help AFS grow bigger, better and stronger - all while working toward our goal of building intercultural competence for a more just and peaceful world.
